ISCC CONTINUES TO ENDANGER STAFF AND PRISONERS WITH QUARANTINE VIOLATIONS - NOW DIRECTLY ENDANGERING THE PUBLIC AS WELL

As described in previous posts on this site, the ISCC quarantined 40 + prisoners housed on the F3 tier on February 14, 2021. Despite the quarantine, prisoners on quarantine status - and who have not been recently tested for COVID-19 continue to work throughout the facility with the full knowledge and acquiescence of the Warden and Housing Lieutenant - the same lieutenant who recently denied in writing that anyone in the quarantined [cohort] was in fact working. In addition to quarantined inmate workers mingling with staff and other, non-quarantined inmates throughout the day, quarantined prisoners are being transported off-site for medical treatment at a local hospital (St. Alphonse in Boise) without being tested before leaving the facility, or upon returning. Ironically, the prisoner transported off-site received a new cell partner from another unit while on quarantine status, is high risk, and still has not been tested a week later. The quarantine status began on F3 because one inmat

IT'S 10:00 - DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR PRISONERS ARE?

At 3:11 pm on Wednesday February 17, 2021, two inmates at the ISCC entered F Block together without a staff escort. Just before they entered tier 3, they high-fived each other as they walked through the door, then headed to their cells - one upstairs, one downstairs. At least one had been working all over the facility since approximately 7:00 am, in contact with countless staff and other inmates. What's wrong with that you might ask? One of these inmates - and everyone on the tier/level where he is housed - is on quarantine status for Covid, yet he has been going to work for days. If their word is to be believed, this (and worse) have been going on without the knowledge of administrators. For months, ISCC administrators have kept (North Wing) prisoners living upstairs segregated (cohorted) from those living downstairs on those tiers - meaning those living in those units get less than half the time out of their cells than previously allowed. Despite these "safeguards" ther

DESPITE PUNISHING PRISONER FOR USING THE TERM "MOFFETTEER" IN BLOG, ISCC GUARDS WEARING MOFFETTEER IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

Even after finding ISCC prisoner Dale Shackelford guilty of harassment based on a blog post for quoting staff referring to other facility staff as "Moffetteers" (see WHEN A GUARD HATES A PRISONER on this site), some staff, while working in secure areas of the prison have been wearing labels taped over their names on their official State of Idaho identification cards which reads - in large font and bold letters - MOFFETTEER. On January 19, 2021, officials found Shackelford guilty of harassment and imposed sanctions (punishment)* (see GUARD JUMPS GUN... on this site) which not only restricted his access to commissary for a month and recreation for more than 2 weeks, but voided his hobby craft privileges for 6 months - meaning Shackelford was required to send all his hobby craft supplies out of the facility, costing more than $150 in lost supplies and postage. Shackelford is also precluded from being hired for any job for 6 months. Despite the official finding that the term MOFF
